2012 is going to be so fun!
You know, if you’re as new agey as I am, or if you like to make fun of the new agey, as I do, then you might have run across the work of Gregg Braden in your travels. I am sure it is because of him that I am manifesting some things in my life a bit faster than I used to. Well, not because of him personally, but because of an old PBS documentary of his (which I am blanking on the name), in which he said the magnetic field around the earth is decreasing at such a rapid rate that our thoughts & intentions are moving faster. Yes, I know.
But seriously.
If the earth’s magnetism is allegedly decreasing, then shouldn’t earthlings’ ability to magnetize (people, places, things) decrease as well? And yet.
Several days ago I wrote about a MLM company that was actively misleading people by advertising itself as a spiritual empowerment group, and then once there, enticing people to join and buy $20 bottles of herbal Kool-Aid.
Yesterday I happened to have a conversation with someone about the Law of Attraction, and I mentioned (and not without rancor) this one group that was using the law in a less than attractive manner.
“You’re not talking about The Balance Company, are you?” she asked.
“Oh my god! Yes! That’s them!” I said.
“Don’t even get me started. They did the same thing to me,” she replied, derisively. “They’re schemers.”
If you want to be an MLM, why not be open with it? Using a spiritual tenet to hook people into something ultimately unspiritual is the sign of a cult. And just because one of the people in your upline is sleeping with somebody who knows the director of The Secret movie does not mean you get to use the Law of Attraction to deceive people.
Well, can I say how nice it was to receive validation for my experience with these people? And just four days after the incident? I didn’t specifically ask for validation, but I suppose in writing about it, when I saw how ridiculous this company was, I let it go.
So I wonder. Does that mean the greater the loss of earthly magnetism, the quicker we’ll get our issues resolved? I hope so, because I have some issews.
In a 1999 article entitled Schumann Resonance and Zero Point, Braden opined:
“…In response to the Earth Changes, our emotional shields are loosening up– we are actually meshing with each others’ more and more; and our intentions are getting stronger– our thoughts are reaching out even farther than ever before; and so, there is much less of a buffer zone, or less delay time, between our “Intentionality” and its “Actuality by a Universal-Source” in our usual interactions with this world and those in it.”
Basically this means that what we put out to the universe in the form of intention gets put into physical form that much faster. According to this magnetic polar shift, Braden and others say we’ll get light bodies.
Yay! That’s the whole reason I started this blog! God, the Universe is grand!
I would like one that is 100 lbs. lighter, please, with thick red hair, strong arches and perfect teeth, and the ability to spot an MLM a mile away. Thanks much!
