My cat the cook
I’ve been subscribed to Fat Free Vegan for a while now. I think it won an award for the display, as it features delectable, mouth-watering pictures of suitable recipes for calorie-conscious vegans. Even though she uses a lot of starches, I’ve managed to glean some good recipes from the blog.
This week, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, she set out to make a traditional Irish dish vegan style. She says she wanted to make bangers & mash, but was told bangers & mash isn’t Irish but English. However, if you go to any restaurant on the Emerald Isle, you will find it on the menu, along with lamb stew, colcannon and french fries with yellow curry. I swear.
So she decided to make Irish sausages, using meatless “fauxsages.” And regretfully, this is where the pretty picture factor of her blog ends.

My cat made one of these last night.
